Description

 

Under the direct supervision of the IRA/ICF Assistant Director and/or Program Coordinator, the Senior Residential Manager will oversee and maintain successful operation of the identified Intensive Care Facility serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The Senior Residential Manager is expected to carry out responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, forward-thinking, and a positive role-model.   

 

Duties would include but are not limited to:

 

  1. Demonstrate the ability to problem solve, multi-task, and conduct research to resolve each program concerns in a timely manner
  2. Available on-call 24/7 for emergent needs, triage and support; flexible schedule with availability to deploy to the sites, as needed.
  3. Exhibit effectiveness in handling crisis situations, deploying resources, and communicating effectively to required parties.
  4. Provide training, direction, and supervision to full time, part time, or on-call Direct Support Professionals assigned to the programs as well as the Assistant Managers. Maintain meticulous records to track attendance, compliance and outcomes; Maintains own training compliance
  5. Coordinates all services for Individuals- including linkages to day treatment, medical, psychiatric, financial, etc. considering the Individuals’ choice
  6. Thoroughly ensures the programs are prepared for External DQI Audits; Conducts regular self-audits of records to identify areas of concern 
  7. Oversees and implements agency medication protocols; Works collaboratively with the Direct Support Professionals and the RN/LPN to ensure OPWDD Medication protocols are followed by staff
  8. Conducts MANDATORY staff meetings at least once per month- preparing a thorough, professional agenda; Maintains minutes of staff meetings as well as a sign-in sheet; Attends monthly Managers’ meeting- showing up timely and prepared to present on the Programs updates
  9. Develop specific Residential Habilitation Plans/LRO/SRO for the individuals, works in conjunction with the Case Manager/QIDP to conduct reviews every six months as required- and invites all parties the Individual deems necessary to partake in their Life Plan/CFA; Maintains active target dates on the Residential Habilitation Plan/LRO/SRO necessary for service delivery
  10. Coordinates the implementation of Residential Habilitation Goals LRO/SRO, including staff assignments for goal-related activities, data collection, progress notes, billing requirements.
  11. Works collaboratively with clinical department (BIS) to complete/oversee ABC sheets, other behavioral tracking mechanisms making certain that Behavior Plans are successfully implemented; Maintain records and submit according to program due dates.
  12. Utilize Precision Care for all documentation; create monthly summaries based on progress notes; Identify areas of concern and appropriately address with assigned team members.
  13. Manage staff schedules, required trainings and staff onboarding process
  14. Participate in interview process, documenting an applicant tracking form and forwarding to HR within 24 hours; Assist in actively recruiting for new team members- as necessary.
  15. Approve timesheets via PayCom every Monday for all assigned employees
  16. Participates in the admission/discharge process, including trial visits, and 30-day discharge Follow up report.
  17. Confidently Represent agency to other service providers and community groups.        
  18. Oversees the cooking needs with healthy menu planning, food shopping/ordering, and meal preparation, incorporating the dietary needs of the individuals. Review the weekly Menu, making any needed changes.
  19. Submit Weekly Food ledgers/receipts and Monthly Recreational receipts, van logs/receipts, etc.
  20. Maintain vehicle maintenance and safety through the managing of the gas cards assigned to the program and Fleetio updates
  21. Maintain documentation of annual/bi-annual medical appointments (i.e. physical /PPD/Psychiatric/Psychosocial)
  22. Accompany residents on medical appointments utilizing agency vehicle; Assign to Residential staff where possible.
  23. Commitment to professional development
  24. Ability to exercise sound judgement always
  25. Ability to keep up with a multitude of emails via Microsoft Outlook; Perform other duties via Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Teams)
  26. Effectively manage time, organize workspace, demonstrate proactive planning/prioritize to accomplish responsibilities
  27. Ensuring organization of monthly recreation activities to promote independence, wellness and community integration  
  28. Establish and maintain professional, interpersonal relationships; Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  29. Efficiently handle complaints, settle disputes, resolving grievances, conflicts, and offer mediation of staff and individuals
  30. Obtain Consents
  31. Write CFA reports
  32. Implement Individual Program Plans and Objectives that includes opportunities for individual choice and self-management; identifies the discrete, measurable, criteria-based objectives the client is to achieve; identifies the specific individualized program of specialized and generic strategies, supports, and techniques to be employed; and must be directed toward the acquisition of the skills necessary for the client to function with as much self-determination and independence as possible and the prevention or egression or loss of current optimal functional status.
  33. Maintain Individuals Program Plans and Objectives as written
  34. Coordinate services between day program, health care services, etc.
  35. Train Staff and monitor staff on all IPP’s
  36. Ensure all diets and trainings are maintained and completed as written
  37. Ensuring the day programs are adhering to all above diet, medical, behavioral needs of the individual once a quarter

Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree ( preferred) with at least three (3) years’ supervisory experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population; Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in the field of human services preferred. 

 

The Senior Manager position will typically work in a residential environment with occasional work outside and in small enclosed spaces. Frequent sitting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
