Project Manager – Solar
Remote in Texas - Sites in San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Houston

Excellent opportunity for a Project Manager from the Solar industry to join one of North America’s fastest growing Energy Service Companies where they can significantly develop their experience by working on a diverse range of high-value federal, public and private sector Decarbonization projects.
This international business has a presence in a number of fields ranging from things such as gas supply and heating to renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. They are heavily investing into their North American business, and due to a large pipeline of upcoming projects they are looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager who can oversee numerous Solar and other Renewable Energy projects across Texas.
In this role you will have responsibility across the design-build project lifecycle for a range of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency projects, with the initial focus being towards large Solar Energy developments. This will include control over finances, procurement, H&S implementation, subcontractor management as well as supporting in business development activities to aid further growth in the region.
Suitable candidates for this position could come from an Engineering Degree background where they have then gained project management experience in the Solar industry, or alternatively could come from a hands-on Electrical Contracting background where they have worked their way up into project management and subsequently looked after Solar Energy projects.

The role:
* Overseeing multiple commercial and utility-scale Solar and other Renewable Energy projects
* Ensuring projects are completed on-time & reporting on progress to stakeholders during delivery
* Supporting with enforcement of contract requirements & ensuring compliance with designs/specs
* Coordinating logistics, equipment, material deliveries, site personnel etc.
* Monitoring, inspecting & reviewing works carried out to ensure quality & safety standards are met
* Liaising with development and operations teams for various pre-construction activities
The Person:
* Educated to Degree level in a Construction Management or Engineering discipline, or otherwise coming from a hands-on Electrical Contracting background
* Preferably possessing at least 5 years’ experience in Project Management
* Project Management experience covering specifically Solar Energy projects is essential – this can be as a Project Manager, Superintendent or similar
* Knowledge of electrical codes & standards
* OSHA 30 certification – required or to be obtained within 6 months of starting
* NABCEP PV Installation Professional – Highly Advantageous
* Active Drivers License
