The Payroll Administrator Will Work Closely With The Director Of Payroll And The Payroll Team To Ensure Employees’ Records Are Up To Date. Payroll Administrator Duties And Responsibilities Include:
Department Administration
- Review and update all new hires, terminations and department changes in payroll systems.
- Work with Human Resources to provide income verification, sick time and vacation accruals for claims and income verification, vacation and sick time accruals to employees.
- Work with Program Directors to resolve timecard adjustments for entries in payroll systems.
- Record payroll expenses into YARDI ledger accounts.
- Prepare Payroll GL templates and upload GL files to YARDI.
- Reconcile numbers in YARDI to prepare for Month End Closing.
- Liaison with payroll systems representatives regarding payroll issues.
- Prepare invoices and enter into YARDI Accounts Payable module fringe benefits payments.
- Maintain Vacation and sick accrual balances for all staff.
- Cross train on payroll functions.
- Special Projects as Assigned.
- Preparing pre-processing payroll reports.
- Reviewing timesheets submitted by supervisors for accuracy.
- Identifying payroll processing errors and making appropriate corrections in a timely manner.
- Working with government agencies, benefit providers, auditors and/or other staff to resolve payroll related issues and provide requested information for the audit and billing purposes.
- Monitoring & ensuring compliance with local, state and federal law regulations as related to Payroll functions.
- Maintaining union contracts compliance at all times; regularly review salary rate schedule and provide changes required to the Director of Payroll and Benefit Tax Compliance
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to pressure, work independently, proficiently, efficiently and must be able to meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple relationships.
- Working knowledge of Sandata, Paycom payroll systems preferred.
- Microsoft Excel skill required, with experience in using pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management, or the equivalent coursework in a related specialized field;
- Minimum two years payroll processing experience.

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum two years financial and/or bookkeeping experience.
