Skills and experience for the role
- 10 years of experience as a network engineer
- CCIE certification with lab
- 7-8 years of experience designing and analyzing local area and wide area networks
- 8-9 years of experience with network protocols, emerging network architectures, and leading vendor implementations of network services and network security
- Experience overseeing and guiding large infrastructure projects
- Strong interest in working with students, postdocs, and faculty on experimental networking projects
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals having varied levels of technical proficiency
- Experience with VxLAN overlay, Multicast / Anycast and BGP routing
- Ability to work with multiple operating systems and platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
