Digital Media Specialist

Risen Savior is a vibrant and growing congregation committed to sharing the healing love of Christ with our congregation and the community. We are seeking a dedicated and creative Digital Media Specialist to join our team and help us effectively communicate our mission, activities, and values to engage and inspire our members and the wider community.

Responsibilities

As the Digital Media Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and enhancing our communication efforts to connect, inform, and engage our congregation and community. You will work closely with the pastoral team, ministry leaders, and volunteers to ensure clear and compelling communication across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, and staff to gather information and insights for creating compelling communication materials.
• Create and curate engaging content, including written materials, graphics, images, videos, branding, and social media posts, that effectively communicate our activities, events, sermons, and initiatives.
• Execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with our church’s mission and vision.
• Manage and maintain our church website, ensuring it is up to date, user-friendly, and reflective of our vibrant community.
• Oversee our social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and community building on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and others.
• Coordinate and manage event promotion, developing marketing materials to maximize attendance and engagement.
• Facilitate internal communication by coordinating announcements, updates, and important information through newsletters, bulletin boards, and other channels.
• Monitor and analyze communication metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, email open rates, and event attendance, and use data to refine communication strategies.
• Manage the communications budget, including expenses related to advertising, design software, printing, and other communication-related costs.
• Stay current with trends in communications, marketing, and technology to continually improve our communication strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in content creation and graphic design tools.
• Experience with website management and social media platforms.
• Understanding of media relations and public relations strategies.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• High level of creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Strong alignment with the church’s values and mission.
