Job Description : Summary
Work collaboratively with architects, developers, and platform engineers to design, develop, and support Java components that are shared by all microservices. This role will ensure that these components enforce the non-functional qualities of our resilient, always-on, cloud-ready architecture built on RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop, improve, and maintain cloud-ready distributed Microservices using Java Spring components including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, and Spring Data.
- Develop and improve observability of 1,000's microservices running in multiple data centers using tooling that includes : DynaTrace, Nagios, Prometheus and Elastic Stack.
- Develop, configure, enhance, and support GitOps based CI / CD pipeline that incorporates Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Tekton, Artifactory, SonarQube, Argo CD.
- Object Orient software analysis and design by applying industry best practices, patterns, and techniques.
- Designing, developing, maintaining complex shared Enterprise Java services security, logging, REST, common APIs and enforcing coding standards.
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure design principles are followed by developers implementing shared architecture components.
- Proven ability to analyze performance issues using java profiling tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation experience.
- Work with software development, quality assurance, and release management to support and develop improvements to our existing CI / CD pipeline.
- Work closely with Architects to introduce new technology and develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technology in our existing architecture.
- Acts as a mentor for other developers on software development design and development challenges.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
