Data Engineer III

Job Title: Data Engineer III

Location: Houston, TX

Work Mode: Onsite

Duration: 6-9 Months

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional experience in software development or data engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)

• Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse technologies, specifically Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake

• Experience working with Amazon S3 object storage

Nice-to-Haves:

• UI development experience in Python Dash

• Familiarity with Dremio

• Experience with Kubernetes, especially AWS EKS

• Broad exposure to the AWS cloud ecosystem

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable data pipelines integrating diverse data sources into a unified Data Lakehouse

• Develop data quality pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in data sets

• Architect a Lakehouse solution that reflects real-world business operations using best practices

• Support platform performance tuning and data model optimization (e.g., partitioning and compaction)

• Contribute to data visualization and reporting initiatives to support data-driven decision-making
