Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Contract Documentation: Maintains organizational documents, including contract databases and matrices, to educate relevant subsidiaries on managed care contracts.
- Collaboration: Works with the team to implement Corporate Initiatives, including introducing or expanding services.
- Contract Negotiation: Leads negotiations and coordinates contract workflows for assigned plans.
- Contract Evaluation: Reviews contract language, redlines documents and evaluates areas of concern as necessary.
- Problem Resolution: Facilitates the resolution of escalated contractual, payor policy, and operational issues through collaboration with managed care organizations and internal stakeholders.
- Meeting Facilitation: Organizes and facilitates Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings with each payor as required by contract.
- Contract Modeling: Conducts contract modeling and analysis for facility and physician contract rate proposals, supporting the organization’s contracting strategies.
- Policy Analysis: Analyzes changes in payer policies, rules, and regulations impacting facility and physician payments, and communicates updates to impacted stakeholders.
- Business Relationships: Establishes effective business relationships with third-party payers and governmental personnel to further organizational goals.
- Process Improvement: Identifies and communicates potential process improvements within the contracting process and data requirements.
- Professional Development: Pursues continuous professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
- Ethics & Critical Thinking: Displays high ethical standards and strong critical thinking abilities.
- Additional Duties: Performs other duties as necessary to maintain the efficient operation of the department and the company.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field; or an Associate degree with two (2) years experience in managed care; or a high school diploma or equivalent with four (4) years experience in managed care.
- Five (5) years of experience in contracting or networking within a managed care organization, Health Plan, PHO, PO, or similar organization.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in healthcare management, finance, or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience with plan and provider contracting (both Facility and Professional).
Salary : $110,000
