We're seeking Medicaid Waiver caregivers who want to partner with an agency that values both caregivers and clients. Bring your client to our agency, and depending on their weekly hours, you could earn competitive pay starting at $16 per hour, with the potential for overtime.
We're seeking individuals with clients who are currently enrolled in the Indiana Medicaid Waiver program and are committed to providing outstanding care to seniors and people with disabilities.
Job Overview
We are looking for caring and committed caregivers to offer vital support to individuals in need. In this role, you'll make a significant impact on the lives of those you care for, especially individuals with developmental disabilities. Your duties will involve assisting with personal care, ensuring safety, and fostering independence in a nurturing and supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with everyday tasks, including personal hygiene routines like bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as preparing nutritious meals to meet their needs.
- Provide timely and accurate reminders to ensure individuals take their prescribed medications as directed. This helps promote adherence to medication schedules and supports the overall health and well-being of those under care.
- Encourage clients' participation in social activities and community events to help build social skills and promote independence.
- Ensure a clean and safe living space by handling light housekeeping duties.
- Record patient care activities precisely, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals about the client's needs and progress.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to support clients with mobility challenges.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in a group home setting or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Great interpersonal skills to establish trust and build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
- Capable of lifting and assisting with patient mobility is required.
- A caring and empathetic nature, with a sincere commitment to enhancing the quality of life for others.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate client needs, including availability for different shifts.
