The Community CFTSS program is an OMH regulated program that supports children and adolescents. The Mental Health Consultant is responsible for providing community-based clinical services to children identified as being at risk for a behavioral health issue. The individual is required to work in-person in the community, which could include homes, schools, or other places that the family identifies as being most conducive and convenient for them.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and supportive family sessions
- Provide crisis intervention, as needed
- Administer appropriate evidence based and developmentally appropriate and culturally informed interventions
- Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans and progress notes in a timely manner
- Engage in professional development and certification and training opportunities and participate in reflective supervision
- Other related duties
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field AND licensure as a New York State Mental Health Provider.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
