Responsibilities
Position Details:
To provide instruction to preschool age children within the classroom setting. The Teacher is instructional in shaping the child’s relationship with himself, others and the world.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement lesson plans by facilitating the classroom activities and experiences.
- Maintain classroom records/conduct on-going assessment on every child.
- Complete all required reports and assessments in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with family members to encourage student proficiency in the five preschool domains (Cognitive; Language; Social/Emotional; Physical and Adaptive)
- Assist preschoolers to develop through a wide variety of play options.
- Model consistent expectations and behaviors.
- Encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills.
- Guide in the acquisition of social skills that are practical and relevant to a preschool age child.
- Implement positive behavioral interventions.

Qualifications
- New York State Certification in Early childhood/Elementary Education
- Master's in Special Education (Students with Disabilities)
