What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Shop Clerk position at Rising Star Casino Resort?
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize proper procedures and documentation for Gift Shop transactions.
- Ensure bank is counted and balanced.
- Supply guests with information on services available on property.
- Merchandising on retail floor.
- Receiving and inventory of merchandise including tagging, pricing, and changing display of merchandise.
- Daily cleaning of retail floor and stock room.
- Suggestive selling to guests.
- Answer phones and provide information or direct calls as appropriate.
- Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.)
- Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.
Other Job Functions:
- May be cross-trained as a Uniform Issue Clerk
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience Required: Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Ability to communicate effectively with others; understands and complies with all company and departmental rules and regulations.
