Essential Job Functions:
- Stands lookout watchman and safety watches about the vessel.
- Raises and lowers accommodation ramps.
- Handles lines for docking/undocking.
- Performs routine cleaning and painting about the vessel.
- Participates in all drills and training sessions.
- Becomes proficient in all emergency duties.
- Is vigilant and alert for anything out of the ordinary and reports same to supervisors.
- Learns how to properly operate and maintain all emergency equipment.
- Is courteous and polite to both guests and fellow employees.
- Puts safety first: works safely and corrects or points out any possible safety hazards to supervisors.
- Replaces wall coverings, matching to existing finishes.
- Repair walls and ceilings as necessary, utilizes scaffolding equipment as necessary.
- Repair and replace trim, refinishing of millwork.
- Applies paint coatings to surfaces as necessary.
- Patch carpeting, repair floors.
- Must have ability to meet tasks and responsibilities as assigned during times of emergency or otherwise, as required.
- Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.)
- Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.
Other Job Functions:
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Note: this position will not perform or assist with any gaming function.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience Required: Education and/or experience in joinery, millwork & finishing functions as described above.
- Education Required: Education in joinery, millwork and finishing highly recommended.
- Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Ability to follow orders, ability to work well with others, ability to communicate effectively with others, understands and complies with department, company, and government agency regulations, and skilled in joinery, millwork and finishing of assorted materials.
- Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 3 (Must be at least 18 years of age).
Other Specialized Requirements: Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, equipment & materials of the painting trade. Knowledge of proper preparation of surfaces to be painted, and proper methods of mixing all types of paints. Knowledge of occupational hazard & safety precautions of the painting trade. Skill in matching and blending colors. Skill in applying paints & other finishes with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members and vendors. Ability to work with laminates and trim in the fabrication of countertops, cabinetry, etc.
