Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Substitute educators. In this role, you will have the opportunity to step into various classrooms and provide support to students in their learning journey. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring that educational standards are upheld in the absence of regular teachers. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about education and have experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
• Provide support in subjects such as Math and other core areas, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assist in lesson planning when necessary, contributing ideas that align with childhood development principles.
• Supervise students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the school day.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
• Familiarity with childhood development concepts and practices is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in Math or other academic subjects to support student learning effectively.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
• Previous experience in private schools or preschool settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with students and staff.
• A commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes educational growth for all students.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
