Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our pediatric clinic. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their mobility. Your contributions will be vital in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient environments.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including exercises, modalities, and therapeutic activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in discharge planning and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Experience in pediatric setting. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in patient care practices and solidly understand discharge planning processes. A background in physical therapy is essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.57 - $37.40 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
