What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Coordinator position at RisingHope UMC?
Rising Hope Mission Church (United Methodist) is a safe place where you can gain spiritual and physical sustenance. We have several worship opportunities available and offer assistance through our Food Market, Rising Hope Kitchen, Hope Closet, Hypothermia Shelter, and countless other need-based services.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will have supervisory responsibilities and report directly to the Lead Pastor of Rising Hope.
Community Outreach Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a culture that exemplifies Rising Hope’s core tenets of creating a loving and inclusive environment for all persons
- Exemplify the standards necessary to lead within a faith community environment
- Identify key target audiences and develop/implement tailored outreach strategies to increase engagement.
- Promote Rising Hope’s mission and services by organizing and leading outreach programs to build visibility and connect with potential supporters.
- Build relationships with community partners, organizations, and stakeholders to expand Rising Hope’s reach and foster collaborations and partnerships
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with potential donors by developing personalized outreach, networking events, and targeted communication strategies.
- Organize outreach events like workshops, webinars, community forums, and information sessions
- Craft clear and compelling communication materials to promote outreach initiatives and inform potential participants
- Track outreach activities, measuring impact, and analyzing data to inform future strategies

Education and Experience Requirements
- Preferred experience of 2 to 3 years conducting outreach, community engagement, case management and or non-profit fund development.
- Ability to manage budgets
- Knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 per year
