What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Central Marketing and Placement Specialist (New England Plat position at Risk Cooperative?
As a member of the Commercial Insurance Team, the Community Marketing Specialist will market property and casualty insurance programs on prospective accounts for middle to large market accounts. They will facilitate the placement of accounts and serve as a liaison for insurance carrier relationship management. This person will also be a resource to all employees on commercial lines of insurance and the insurance marketplace.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Growth: Understand and align with the growth goals of each Strategic Carrier Partner (SCP), Wholesure, and the “Big 3”.
Renewal Strategy: Participate in renewal meetings to discuss marketing strategies for upcoming renewals.
Book Rollovers: Oversee potential book rollovers to SCPs or Wholesure within the region, collaborating with carriers.
Product Updates: Coordinate with Champions, legacy leadership, and other liaisons at each office to keep staff informed about insurance company products, website capabilities, and contact information.
Process Management: Maintain timelines and processes during new business and non-renewal phases, including exposure analysis, quote specifications, offer analysis, negotiation, and proposal presentation. Use independent judgment to redirect Client Advisors or Commercial teammates if a market is deemed unsuitable or the request is outside of established procedures.
Advisory Guidance: Utilize insurance knowledge and carrier relationships to guide Client Advisors towards optimal solutions for clients, carriers, and Acrisure.
Submission Preparation: Collaborate on preparing property and casualty insurance submissions for new prospects and renewals, including insurance specifications, ACORD applications, loss summaries, prospect profiles, and exposure schedules.
Data Analysis: Analyze spreadsheets of client exposure or loss data, and develop financial models for loss-sensitive programs as necessary.
Team Communication: Communicate effectively within the team, including producers and Segment Leaders.
Industry Relationships: Maintain familiarity and working relationships with regional insurance companies and wholesalers.
Flexibility and Innovation: Demonstrate flexibility and ingenuity to successfully build out the position.
Confidentiality: Handle confidential and non-routine information with discretion.
Compliance: Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education.
Professional Development: Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events, and educational activities to enhance job expertise and product knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 8-10 years relevant Commercial Lines experience required, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements
Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Able to work with minimum supervision; able to accept direction on given assignments
Proficient with MS 365 Products including a high knowledge of Excel and Word
Experience with Epic required
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Able to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills
Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets
Strong knowledge of all basic P&C coverages
Licensed in property and casualty insurance
Pursuit of a professional designation - CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU- preferred
Salary : $21 - $23
