THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Digital Content Manager to assist our content marketing lead by creating well-constructed, accurate, and authoritative B2B digital content – including blogs, articles, and social posts – for risk management professionals. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing and can translate complicated subject matter into an understandable, actionable story. They must be highly organized, have incredible attention to detail, and be able to meet deadlines. They will research industry topics, optimize content for organic search, revise and edit pieces, and collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure brand consistency in style, tone, and voice. This position reports to the VP of digital marketing and is managed by the content marketing lead. Candidates must submit a relevant writing portfolio and complete a test assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Create clear and compelling written content (e.g. blogs, social posts, and other forms of digital marketing collateral) that connects with our target customer and is consistent with our corporate style, tone, and voice.
- Proofread/revise/edit your own copy and that of others.
- Incorporate SEO best practices where appropriate.
- Conduct in-depth research on new topics.
- Complete assignments on time.
- Collaborate with team members and SMEs as necessary.
- Stay current on industry trends and product enhancements to guide content development.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6-8 years of B2B experience, preferably with insurance, financial services, or enterprise software products.
- Proven journalistic ability to articulate the core narrative of a story, with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Flawless grammar and proofreading capabilities.
- Ability to construct original content for each asset type and write clearly to engage the audience at every part of the learning curve.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and good time-management skills.
- A positive attitude and fast learner who is curious and unafraid to ask questions.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and receive feedback.
- A portfolio of relevant writing samples.
EDUCATION:
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Art/Design or related fields
