We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, to assist guests with their dining choices.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist in managing the waitlist during busy periods, ensuring that all guests are informed of estimated wait times.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the host/host area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
