Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Salad/Pantry team member to join our culinary team in a fine dining environment. This role is essential for ensuring the preparation of high-quality salads and pantry items that meet our standards for excellence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble salads, dressings, and other pantry items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad/pantry station, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for other culinary staff, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen management team.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal preparation and service periods.
- Participate in daily kitchen clean-up tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a fine dining or high-volume food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Experience working in a culinary or dietary department is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
- A background in culinary arts or related fields is beneficial but not required.
