The Director, Corporate Development will work for the VP and SVP of Corporate Development as well as the executive team to support all aspects of SupplyOne’s M&A program. The role will also have a high level of exposure to senior leaders within all areas of SupplyOne, the Board of Directors and Wellspring. The successful candidate will have a relentless attention to detail, excellent analytical capabilities, interpersonal skills and be ambitious and eager to learn and support this growth initiative. 4-6 years experience in an acquisitive corporate M&A department or an investment banking program is required for the role.
Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable measurements):
- Research and evaluate new M&A opportunities, providing valuation analysis and reporting to the Corporate Development team as well as other executive leadership.
- Support the transaction execution process from LOI to transaction close, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, business case creation including synergy analysis, management presentations, integration planning and post-closing integration support, legal document negotiation and other ad hoc responsibilities.
- Actively monitor and perform in-depth research and analysis of packaging and distribution industry trends, including macroeconomic indicators that impact the company’s performance.
- Assist Manager, Corporate Development with management of CRM data and insights
- Build and manage competitive intelligence around key industry players.
- Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making within senior level audiences.
- Assist Integration Manager to track post-closing synergies.
- Assist in management and development of Manager, Corporate Development and Integration Management resources.
Qualifications (What you’ll need to be successful):
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting/finance, or economics
- 10 years of total work experience and 4-6 years of experience in corporate M&A or banking with strong familiarity of the entire lifecycle of an acquisition transaction, ideally in the setting of a ‘roll-up’ company
- High proficiency with Excel and building financial models and other analyses
- Exceptional writing and communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to help build effective cross-functional relationships within SupplyOne
- Strong presentation skills and ability to confidently interact with key stakeholders: SupplyOne senior leadership, SupplyOne executives, bankers or brokers, and target company principals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Philadelphia area and work at least 4 days per week at Newtown Square Headquarters.
- Knowledge of the packaging industry or related manufacturing and/or distribution sector experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Be able to travel throughout the U.S. (~25% of weeks for 1-2 days)
