PAY RATE: $21/hr
Position Overview:
The Production Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing process. This position focuses on accurately compounding, weighing, mixing, and processing materials while maintaining strict safety standards and ensuring high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Preparation: Accurately check, weigh, and mix raw materials according to specified formulations, ensuring contamination-free handling through proper color perception checks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate machinery following standard procedures, inspecting scales for accuracy and adjusting equipment settings as necessary.
- Quality Control: Monitor and verify the consistency of each batch visually, promptly reporting any discrepancies, irregularities, or process issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Mixing Process: Load raw materials and oils into mixers, monitor conditions, and adjust setups as needed to ensure proper blending.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance: Keep all mixing equipment, including mixer chambers and milling areas, clean to prevent contamination during batch changeovers.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including using PPE, conducting equipment safety checks, and following Lock-out/Tag-out procedures during repairs or cleanings.
- Problem Solving: Report equipment or process issues immediately and actively contribute to troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Training Support: Assist in training new team members as directed by the supervisor.
