Job Overview

Duties
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities for clients, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Assist with cooking nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities by implementing individualized care plans in a group home setting.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with clients, encouraging independence while providing necessary support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or senior care is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patients' health and well-being.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
