Store Manager

Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient management of staff. This role includes managing inventory, maintaining store presentation, and driving sales while fostering a positive work environment. The Store Manager will lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and effective communication to enhance team performance.

Duties

• Supervise daily store operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ice Production - ensure ample supply of ice is prepared for the dayManage cash handling procedures, including cash register operations and reconciliation.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and merchandising.
• Train and orient new employees to ensure they understand company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff to foster teamwork and resolve any issues that arise.
• Scheduling - schedule and properly staff store weekly on Homebase
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment that reflects the brand's standards.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions and reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
• Equipment Maintenance - ensure custard and batch machines are cleaned regularly, notify owner of additional maintenance needed
• Mobile/Catering Events - operate and facilitate mobile and or catering events outside of the store.

Skills

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hour shifts, lift 50lbs, stoop, kneel and climb a ladder
• You must be able to work independently and take initiative while managing your schedule efficiently and effectively with a sense of urgency
• Proficient in cash handling practices and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong math skills for accurate cash register operations and inventory management.
• Knowledge of employee orientation processes to facilitate smooth onboarding of new hires.
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels and store presentation/cleanliness effectively.
• Be able and willing to work a flexible schedule that can include daytime hours but also evening and weekends. This is a full time position working 30-40 hours per week during our open season. We are closed for Easter but expected to work on other summer holidays such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day etc.This position requires a proactive individual who can lead a team while maintaining high standards of customer service in a retail environment.
• Hourly pay plus Credit card and cash tips = an additional $4-$5 an hour.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
