Job Description
The major responsibility of the Assistant Yard Managers is to assist the Yard Manager in ensuring that the main auction site and off-site locations run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating site preparation, auction ramp and loading ramp.
- Overseas the yard layout and equipment line up .
- Ensures the sale site is safe and up to Ritchie Brothers standards.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations of the sale location.
- Responsible for planning the refurbishing schedule and budget; control purchase orders and cost sheets.
- Liaise with subcontractors.
- Ensure equipment is in sale-ready condition.
- Arrange directional, parking and yard signs.
- Ensure proper attachment removal.
- Ensure equipment has fuel, oil and anti-freeze.
- Organize yard supplies per check list.
- Responsible for daily Supervision of operators and yard staff including scheduling of day of sale casual staff.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all corporate and legislated health and safety and environmental policies, regulations and laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Individual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Based on the national average, the anticipated salary range for this role is $51,300 - 64,100 per year.
