Job Description
The Market Development Representative (MDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying leads to drive new business opportunities. This role focuses on outbound prospecting, re-engaging dormant accounts, and identifying customer needs to ensure a seamless handoff to sales teams. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and skilled at initiating meaningful conversations with potential clients to expand the company's market share.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Outreach : Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential customers and re-engage dormant accounts.
- Lead Qualification : Assess and qualify leads based on predetermined criteria to determine their fit for sales opportunities.
- Re-engagement : Contact customers who have not had recent transactions or communication to reignite interest and build relationships.
- Data Management : Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system, ensuring leads are properly documented and followed up.
- Collaborate with Sales Teams : Handoff qualified leads to Territory Managers providing detailed notes and insights for follow-up.
- Market Research : Identify key trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to refine outreach strategies.
- Pipeline Development : Actively contribute to building a robust sales pipeline by generating high-quality leads.
- Performance Metrics : Consistently meet or exceed KPIs, including outreach volume, qualified lead generation, and conversion rates.
