Job Summary:

Heavy Equipment Operators serves in a role in areas of safety, housekeeping, productivity, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the position are:

• Coordinates daily work plan with the Operations Manager and daily activities.
• Comply with all Federal, State, Local laws and Company safety, operating policies, procedures, plans and programs.

• Continually works to reduce turnaround time for customers in and out of facility.
• Performs equipment inspections and ensures proper care of equipment.
• Complies with and ensures adherence to company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the facility through inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Attends weekly safety meetings.
• Effective interpersonal skills creating favorable working relationships among employees and promoting morale, productivity, and efficiency.
• Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Environment:

• Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity. (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.)
• Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds.
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements.
• Normal setting for this job is a recycling facility

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in heavy equipment capacity or related work experience in Landfill / recycling operations or Construction Site Work
