To continue our growth, we have an excellent opportunity to hire an Straightening Press Operator at our manufacturing facility in Clare, MI.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Operates forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists.
- Sets up and operates equipment following all safety guidelines.
- Utilize work orders and QC packets to complete work accurately.
- Read, interpret and utilize blue prints.
- Make necessary machine adjustments to ensure continuous production of quality parts.
- Inspection of parts for straightness and subsequent straightening of warped parts to print specifications.
- Ensure quality checks have been done prior to sending parts to the next operation.
- Verifies work using common measurement tools. (tape measure, straight edge, caliper, micrometer)
- Maintain tight tolerances as required by engineering and customer specifications.
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, or supervisor to resolve any problems.
- Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.
- Other duties necessary: assemble components and prep for shipping.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
This is an intermediate level position and all training will happen on site. Applicants must have a high attention to detail, be motivated and have great attendance. The successful candidate will be to carry out detail instructions, have good communication skills, and be able to work cooperatively with line managers and employees.
