The Education and Assessment Coordinator works as a member of the Education Department team. Primarily responsible for overseeing and coordinating educational assessment services and trainings as well as the organization of educational trainings/materials associated with daily educational goals, Renaissance/STAR testing, and state assessments for both Arizona and out-of-state students. This position reports to the principal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but not limited to:
- Assists in coordinating student and teacher programming as directed by the principal. Organizes training materials, records, and resources as required to support Education Department and ROP National Education goals.
- Supports programs that assist in the education of all students: Read/Math 180, Vocations Renaissance/STAR, Rigor and Relevance, Student Council, ELL, EPIC, and state testing required for Arizona/Out-of-State program and other educational elements as directed.
- Acts as the facilitator providing coordination, support and follow through for educational meetings, community partnerships, and other related needs as assigned by the principal.
- Reviews curriculum for all program areas and reports needs to the principal
- Ensures professional and timely STAR testing for all new intakes and exits
- Develops and implements complete training and testing calendar (calendar must align to state guidelines) for all required annual state assessments (all states, as assigned).
- Maintains all necessary records and ROP and department of education communications related to STAR and state-mandated testing.
- Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations. Ensures all records for assessment and other educational initiatives are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Organizes and maintains records as related to monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
- Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors' Degree in Education preferred; Experience with state testing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Knowledge of: Curriculum and Instruction,
- Testing procedures, interpretation/importance of pre and post testing results; ability to document results in Key Performance Indicator reports
