What you will do:
Provide Individual and Group Counseling: Offer personalized support to students, addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs through one-on-one and group sessions.
Develop and Implement Support Plans: Create tailored plans to help students overcome personal and academic challenges, ensuring they stay on track for graduation and post-secondary goals.
Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create a supportive network for students, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
Conduct Assessments and Monitor Progress: Evaluate students' needs and progress through regular assessments, adjusting support plans as necessary to ensure their success.
Facilitate Career and College Readiness: Guide students in exploring career options, preparing for college applications, and securing scholarships and financial aid.
Promote Mental Health and Well-being: Implement programs and initiatives that promote mental health awareness, stress management, and overall well-being among students.
Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Maintain Confidential Records: Keep accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and any interventions provided.
To be considered you should:
Master Degree in Counseling
Experience in Academic Advising and college counseling
Understanding of diverse student needs and the ability to create an inclusive supportive environment
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
