What you'll do :
The Worksite Crew Leader works as a staff member of the Walker Montgomery C.D.C Youth Build program. Primarily responsible for providing onsite supervision and teaching Youth Build trainees / participants in the construction of homes. The Youth Build Crew Leader reports to the Construction Manager.
To be considered, you should :
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years verifiable hands-on experience in construction and general carpentry, preferred.
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
- Have the ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
- Have the ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
- Have the ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
- Have the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Have the ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
- Have the able to work 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.
- Be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Have excellent organization and time management skills.
- Have the ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
- Have the ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents.
- Have the ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment.
- Be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.
- Be proficient in the use of computers and associated software.
