What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) position at Rite-Solutions, Inc.?
Rite-Solutions, Inc., is seeking skilled and motivated Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) candidates in the Middletown, RI area. The AFSO is responsible for managing the Industrial Security Program. This position covers the Home Office Facility (HOF) in Pawcatuck, CT, the Cleared Off-site location in Middletown, RI, and various remote locations throughout the US. The AFSO reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is eligible for a local area hybrid work schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Acts as the assistant to the FSO regarding implementation of security policy and procedures
- Oversees Industrial security facility operations and administers the industrial security programs in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), applicable laws, regulations, and DoD contractual requirements
- Manages the processing of security clearance paperwork, including collection and review of relevant documents and information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy
- Maintains personnel security records and databases, including quality assurance and control of the fingerprinting process
- Ensures compliance with all security requirements for the marking, handling, and safeguarding of classified information received and stored within the facility, to include both information and physical security policy and procedures
- Manages, prepares, and tracks all Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254s) provided from the government / prime contractor as well as those necessary for distribution to subcontractors
- Implements Security Education, Training, and Awareness Programs
- Executes visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests and verifying incoming visitor identification, prior to allowing access to classified information
- Verifies preparation of essential reports, troubleshooting industrial security issues, and aids in resolving all concerns and queries from government agencies and company management
- Complete CDSE Insider Threat training and support Insider Threat Program in accordance with the DSS timeline
- Other duties as assigned
