Rite-Solutions is seeking a Junior Developer will be part of a team of experts charged with providing Information Technology Support Services to the U.S. Navy, Foreign Navies, Coalition Forces, Multi-National and Multi-Agency Naval and DoD sponsors. The work is located on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop integration procedures and support integration.
- Develop software programs model in AFSIM.
- Develop/modify software requirements specifications to existing programs requirements for new/modified capabilities.
- Software design and code is subject to formal inspection led by the government prior to testing.
- Document impacts of Hardware changes
- Document test plans and procedures in developer test descriptions.
- Generate and debug assigned software code elements.
- Generate and document preliminary design & detailed software design
- Generate and implement unit level test procedures.
- Generate and maintain development schedules consistent with the Government's master schedule.
- Generate and perform capability test procedures to verify complete functional coverage of all new/modified code.
- Generate procedures and scripts and perform automated testing.
- Investigate defects in all phases of testing and integration.
- Maintain and develop software based on problem reports provided and monitor and evaluate software performance
- Participate in all design and code reviews.
- Participate in semi-annual meetings with Operational Forces to ensure priority issues are being addressed.
- Perform software element integration test prior to release of the software.
- Prepare and submit a correction package for all assigned defects, anomalies, and enhancements. The correction package shall define proposed code changes and test plans. Upon approval and completion of the correction, the Contractor shall assist in documenting the results of the testing.
- Provide artifacts to develop and maintain risk management framework package, develop and execute security test plans and procedures, and facilitate accreditation decision from the appropriate approval authority
- Provide technical input for all required reviews and provide updates for software user manuals.
- Review and provide comments on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Review System/Software Problem Reports (SPRs) and Issues for applicability and closure.
- Review Proposed Software Support Activity (SSA) SPR fixes and provide comment/technical guidance.
- Review software CDRLs
- Update software requirements if required to implement change.
- Use government tools to maintain software CM.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship and Interim or Active DoD SECRET clearance
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
- Software coding in C in a Linux environment
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience working on custom development software projects.
- Experience working with DoD customers.
