JOB SUMMARY
The Controller plays a key role in overseeing Rite Way’s and sister companies' financial growth and wellbeing. The Controller works closely with the CFO to ensure financial statements and budgets are well planned and maintained. In addition, the Controller works with the CFO and Operations Manager to analyze and report financial information and company KPIs from Service Titan. The successful Controller will possess maturity, professionalism, and ability to work independently with little supervision. Finally, the Controller is required to manage different personality types while motivating them and maintaining a positive work environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the CFO in preparing monthly financials in a timely manner.
- Ensure company balance sheets are reconciled.
- Prepare month end adjusting entries as required.
- Ensure support is documented and kept on file in an organized manner.
- Assist with monthly reporting requirements.
- Works well with all department managers to ensure financial needs are met and guidelines are followed.
- Assists in the development of department and company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting principals.
- Assists in the preparation of budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; and recommending plans.
- Assists in managing a team of Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Payroll staff.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Service Titan knowledge preferred, but not required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent major required.
- Five plus years of financial accounting experience.
- Two plus years of managing Accounting and/or Payroll staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be physically able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS
- Office environment.
