As a Dental Assistant, you will be integral to the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing essential chairside support during procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Your core skills in dental terminology, general dentistry, and aseptic techniques will be vital in assisting the dental team effectively. With premium skills in EMR systems and X-Ray, you will help maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you interact with patients and support the administrative functions of the office, contributing to a positive patient experience and efficient practice management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a private practice setting
- Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as PracticeWorks, Dentrix and Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective patient interaction
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform X-rays and manage vital signs in a clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Utilize dental terminology and knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Manage patient records and documentation using EMR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
- Engage with patients to provide comfort and answer questions, enhancing their overall experience in the practice.
