Entry Level Software Developer

Ritz Instrument Transformers, an industry leader in instrument transformers, cast-coil power transformers, and solid-insulated bus systems, has an opening for a Systems Programmer in our IT Department on first shift, reporting to the IT Supervisor.

SUMMARY

1. Implement and develop automated test reporting, as well as creation and maintenance of test equipment and labs.

2. Business application programming to automate processes

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with the Quality Director and IT Manager to define process and strategy

associated with automation of test data

2. Company-wide Information automation

3. Develop automated test system using C# Oracle and SQL database structure

4. Preparation and documentation of test procedures

5. Capturing test data and preparing formal test reports

6. Resolution of testing issues and interpretation of the results

7. Maintenance of test instruments

8. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Health Analysis (JSHAs)

9. Clean and maintain work area

10. Turn off equipment and lock out when not in use

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and create automated test reporting

2. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. 3 years of computer programming (e.g., C#, Visual Basic, Visual Studio)

2. Knowledge with version control (GitHub)

3. Good understanding of electrical engineering basics

3. Strong problem analysis and resolution skills

4. Experience in automation/PLC programming

5. Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills

6. Ability to create scripts beyond record and playback

7. Associates or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Systems or other related degree
