What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead - Print and Order Fulfillment position at Ritzy Rose?
About Us
We’re a fast-paced ecommerce company that designs, prints, produces, and ships all of our products in-house. From heartfelt greeting cards to event signs, our mission is to create products that evoke emotion—while also fostering a happy, supportive workplace. Our shop is bright, full of natural light, and runs on music, strong coffee, and high standards.
What You’ll Do
As our Production Lead, you’ll spend about half your time actively producing orders—printing, assembling, packaging—and the other half managing workflow, leading the team, and overseeing operations. This is a hands-on, get-things-done role that blends leadership, organization, and production.
You’ll work directly with the owner during training and gradually take on more responsibilities over time. This is not a creative or design-focused role, but you’ll be using creative tools to ensure our high-quality products are made and shipped correctly.
Core Responsibilities:
- Actively produce and fulfill orders daily (approx. 50% of role)
- Oversee day-to-day production and team flow
- Operate and troubleshoot production printers and machinery
- Create and prepare print files using Adobe Illustrator
- Handle customer inquiries and custom file needs
- Monitor quality control, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods (in-house and at Amazon Prime)
- Maintain a clean, organized, process-driven shop
- Track and report on daily production metrics
- Work collaboratively with 2–3 part-time team members on-site each day
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Are highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Have experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Are tech-comfortable and open to learning new systems
- Thrive in a fast-paced, always-busy environment
- Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers
- Have leadership experience (even informal!) and enjoy managing a team
- Are proactive, reliable, and driven to meet high standards
Bonus points if you have experience with production printers or a print shop setting.
