Job Title: Construction Defect Attorney
Location: Tampa, Florida
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Defect Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction litigation, defect claims, and related legal matters. This role involves representing clients in construction defect disputes, contract negotiations, and litigation proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of construction defect litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Represent homeowners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect cases.
- Analyze and interpret construction contracts, warranties, and building codes to build strong legal strategies.
- Conduct legal research and provide counsel on construction-related disputes.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, inspectors, and expert witnesses to support client cases.
- Negotiate settlements and handle dispute resolutions effectively.
- Prepare and present cases in state and federal courts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction defect litigation or related areas.
- Strong understanding of Florida construction law, contract law, and insurance claims.
- Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling complex construction defect claims involving residential and commercial properties.
- Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods, including mediation and arbitration.
- Familiarity with Florida Building Code and related construction regulations.

Pay: $104,345.00 - $130,413.00 per year
