Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist) to join our team in Fairfield, CA. This is a specialized role where you will focus on treating patients with hand injuries and upper extremity conditions. Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions, including fractures, tendon injuries, arthritis, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to help restore function and mobility to the hands and arms.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance healing and improve strength, mobility, and function.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, ergonomics, and adaptive strategies to manage daily activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Stay current on advances in hand therapy techniques and continue your professional development.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapy license in California (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Hand Therapy Certification (CHT) or the ability to obtain certification within a specified time frame preferred.
- Previous experience in hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation is strongly preferred.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
