Job Description:

A leading agricultural company is seeking a Feed Mill Manager to oversee the production and delivery of high-quality feed while ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating production schedules, and leading a team in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will also play a key role in addressing customer concerns related to feed quality and delivery, and will help drive continuous improvement in production metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the production and delivery of feed, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Oversee inventory management, including daily ingredient tracking and parts ordering.
• Coordinate feed recovery scheduling and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
• Utilize continuous improvement methods to maximize feed quality, production efficiency, and delivery times.
• Foster a safety culture by leading training initiatives and promoting safe practices in all aspects of the mill and trucking operations.
• Manage operations within budget and prepare capital requests as needed.
• Address and resolve customer concerns related to feed quality, deliveries, and recovery.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business or related field preferred, or equivalent management experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in feed mill and feed delivery management.
• Skills: Proficient computer skills (spreadsheets, letters, queries), valid driver’s license with good driving record, and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Other: Some minimal travel required. Tyson Foods does not consider former Tyson employees for this position.
