Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Mauricetown, NJ, US
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM)
Job Description:
A leading global performance materials company, specializing in commercial silica and various industrial applications, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee and direct the operations workforce, ensuring efficient production while maintaining safety and cost-effective operations. The role involves planning and scheduling production activities, managing downtime with maintenance teams, troubleshooting process issues, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production processes, including Dryer and Screening, Packaging, Wet Process, and Mining.
- Lead and manage the workforce under the guidance of the Plant Manager.
- Schedule downtime and work closely with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Address and troubleshoot process bottlenecks and underperformance.
- Ensure plant compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Oversee inspections, documentation, and employee safety training.
- Ensure quality control and product requirements are met, including freedom from contamination.
Qualifications:
- Strong industrial and mechanical background.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED required; further technical qualifications are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in mineral processing, slurry pumping, rotating equipment, production planning, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to anticipate problems and devise preventative solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and technical troubleshooting.
