We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and exposure to criminal, family, civil, and litigation law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial, including drafting and filing legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and reports for attorneys.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information, updates, and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain and manage case files, ensuring compliance with deadlines, court requirements, and procedural rules.
- Support attorneys in civil, family, and criminal law matters as needed, particularly in litigation and pre-trial preparation.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to attorneys and staff.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and the ability to prepare legal documents, discovery, and motions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in legal software, case management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Paralegal certification (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
