Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, bilingual (English/Spanish) and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers have a positive dining experience and that our restaurant operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling and register balancing.
• Supervise and train new cashiers on restaurant policies and procedures when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at registers and dining area.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent phone etiquette.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to supervise team members and provide guidance as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers effectively.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
