We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our clients' IT infrastructure from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents across client environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify risks and recommend remediation strategies.
- Implement and manage security tools, including firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM solutions, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate and remediate cybersecurity threats, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Perform security patching, system hardening, and regular updates to maintain compliance with security standards.
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, risk assessments, and mitigation efforts.
- Stay current with emerging threats, industry trends, and evolving cybersecurity technologies.
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Occasional after-hours support for critical security incidents or system updates.
- Occasional travel may be required for onsite security assessments or client support.
- Limited on-call duties for urgent security incidents (typically fewer than three times per week).
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications preferred (CompTIA Security , CEH, CISSP, CISM, or similar).
- Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, or IT security operations.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
