We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients in clinic and by telehealth. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Manage medication regimens for patients.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric practices.
- Providing treatment and monitoring patients on psychedelic medications
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and venipuncture techniques.
- Knowledge of internal medicine principles as they relate to psychiatric care.
- 3 years of experience is preferred, but new grads encouraged to apply
