What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Information Technology position at Rivendell Interstate School District?
Applicant will have the following qualifications: commitment to public education, demonstrated expertise in technology applications, experience with a variety of operating systems, experience administering networks, strong organizational skills, effective inter-personal skills, ability to work independently and to take initiative. A B.S. degree in a technology-related field is preferred.
Responsibilities will include:
•Oversight and coordination of the local wired and wireless networks within the District schools
•Connectivity among District schools and the District office
•Internet service contracts for District schools
•Email servers and applications
•District Software support including PowerSchool SIS and ERP and Titan, ensuring software meets state wide requirements for recordkeeping
•Internet security plan
•Ensuring coordination and connectivity of District website and web pages
•Ensuring long range technology plan
•Oversees purchase, installation and maintenance of instructional technology and software
•Data management for state reporting, ensuring data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner
•Oversight and coordination of phone services and PA systems in all buildings
•Oversight and coordination of copier leases, and maintenance of same
•Oversight and coordination of security systems districtwide, including, but not limited to camera and door systems in conjunction with the Facilities Director
Applicants must have the ability to work effectively with staff. Familiarity with Office 365, Google Classroom and networking operating systems is desirable. Must be willing to travel among District sites.
