POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Residential Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at multiple facilities and to provide support and mentoring to the Residential Staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains a high level of professionalism in interaction with all staff and clients. Role model for staff.
- Responsible for training, developing and assisting all supervised staff.
- Responsible for hiring, staff evaluations, and staff schedules for supervised staff.
- Provide supervision on the day-to-day operation at multiple residential sites, which includes providing direction to the staff and support of clients, which includes on-call.
- To provide direct communication to Case Manager and other Residential Supervisors regarding clients that are residing in the facility.
- Ensure that the facility meets all the CARF and licensure standards.
- Provide on – going, site specific training.
- Monitor paper work and provide feedback to the Community Support team and to other supervisors within the Residential Department.
- Review medication disbursement via medication sheet and report findings to Residential Director and / or the designee.
- Assure facility is maintained in safe and sanitary manner in accordance with any applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations.
- Assure weekly menus are being followed
- Oversee and assist as necessary in the preparation of nutritional meals.
- Provide support and perform ADL skills training to consumers living at assigned facilities.
- Conduct House Meeting with Consumers and Staff.
- Take consumers shopping and purchase necessary items on their behalf.
- Plan leisure and holiday events.
- Forward and follow up on maintenance issues.
- Ensure quarterly fire drills and forward information to the Residential Department.
- Attend and participate in weekly Supervisory Meetings and monthly Residential Meetings.
- Provide emergency backup for all Residential sites.
- Will be available on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for consultation and / or emergency response.
- Participate in rotation of 24 hours on-call. This on-call process requires that when assigned staff are unable to work, the supervisor on-call is responsible for finding someone to replace that person. The on-call supervisor is also responsible for trouble-shooting after hours and on weekends. Calls to the on-call Team Leader are returned in a timely manner.
- Provide backup supervision for other Residential Supervisors as needed to cover vacation and other leaves of absence.
- Must be able to react to changes and stress productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to get along with others and work as a team.
- Complete all required records, reports, documentation and travel expense forms.
- And all other tasks as assigned.
