This position will operate on 12-hour shifts. Clinicians will provide companionate and competent behavioral health services in our newly built facility located in Lorain. Clinicians will work with a team to provide 23-Hour Observation and / or 3.7 Withdrawal Management Services.

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide emergency mental health assessments, crisis interventions, groups, admission, discharge planning and stabilization support for participants.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform crisis intervention for participants. Provide face-to-face counseling to promote stabilization of a crisis situation.
- Perform crisis behavioral health assessments. Determine the needed interventions to ensure safety of clients and others based on the mental status assessments.
- Interact and consult with treatment team to triage best placement
- Assist with admission and discharge planning
- Facilitate small groups as needed
- Carry out duties as a health officer in Lorain County. Assess the mental status of persons to determine the safety of participants according to the emergency medical certificate guidelines.
- Work with families, significant others, other community agencies and law enforcement officials as needed to assess and intervene with participants reported to be in crisis.
- Meet with community members to increase awareness of crisis services and suicide prevention.
- Attend meetings at the main Riveon location, either in person or via Microsoft Team as scheduled.
- Train students and new staff working in crisis as you become more comfortable in your own role, should the need arise.
- Complete all necessary paperwork on time and follow procedures and clinical standards in performing all job duties. Complete any and all assessment items (e.g. contact notes, hub shift reports, crisis alerts, billable service notes, diagnosis documents, incident reports, etc.).
- Consult with Prescribers and other CRC staff as needed regarding participants assessments and crisis interventions.
- Ensure competence and annual certification in the following areas: CPR, First Aid, Physical Crisis Intervention, and Rape Crisis training.
- React to change and stress productively and be able to handle other tasks as assigned with the support of the manager and crisis team.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Get along with others and work as a team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Must have a good working knowledge of DSM-V, mental health assessments, crisis intervention techniques, substance use disorders, and psychotropic medications. The employee will have access to resources and trainings to reflect on as needed.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts in working with community agencies, multidisciplinary teams, and in dealing with the public on the hotline calls.
- In order to perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues.
- Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.
- Licensed in the State of Ohio as an LSW required. Dually licensed LSW and LCDC-II or higher or licensed as LSW with dual scope including substance use treatment preferred.
- Experience in both mental health and chemical dependency field is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) a plus.
- Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records a plus).
