Bartender

Job Summary:

Bartenders should be able quickly and accurately prepare drink orders for customers and servers while maintain a relaxing, fun, upbeat, and inviting atmosphere. Bartenders at River Bend RV Resort are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all guests. Accurately entering orders into the POS System, processing payments, and accurately making change for customers are all essential to a bartender’s success. In addition, learning and memorizing cocktail recipes, establishing a rapport with regular guests, and having the ability to effectively communicate with and listen to each guest will set a bartender up for success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

· Verify identification and age requirements of customers

· Mix traditional and creative cocktails to the standards of the establishment

· Process payments from customers

· Clean glasses, bar utensils, work areas, bar equipment, customer seating areas, etc. throughout and at the end of each shift.

· Make suggestions to guests based on their tastes and preferences

· Accurately record and balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits.

· Open and accurately maintain tabs throughout shifts

· Build and maintain positive rapports with regular customers

· Greet all guests with a welcoming attitude.

· Monitor patron intoxication levels and respond accordingly. Work with management and/or security in identification of belligerent customers to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all.

· Complete opening, closing, weekly, and daily checklists

· Cross-train in other areas of the establishment and fill in or help where needed.

· Assist with orienting new employees

· Participate in or contribute to programs, committees, marketing campaigns, or projects designed to improve employee productivity, sales, or overall morale of the establishment.
