Housekeeper

Job Summary:

Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and arranging the Lodging, public spaces, and facilities of the campground in a sanitary, economical, and efficient manner so they are ready for use by customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

· Replenishes all supplies needed in RV’s, bathrooms, and all public areas.

· Cleans lobbies, lounges, offices, bathrooms, public areas, and stairways by vacuuming, wiping, mopping, sweeping, and dusting surfaces.

· Performs regular periodic, and as needed, cleaning of areas and objects such as rugs, curtains, shelves, displays, blinds, windows, walls, woodwork, ceilings, storage areas, phones, and other objects.

· Maintain and launder bed linen and other washable objects.

· Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure that safe conditions are maintained in the campground’s public areas and rooms.

· Empties all waste baskets, ashtrays, and trash receptacles. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

· Replaces light bulbs and shower curtains as needed in Rental units.

· Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

· Availability: Candidates must be able to work weekend shifts from May-September, occasionally into October. Holiday weekends are required. Ability and willingness to pick-up or fill in shifts as needed.

· Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to accurately count change and balance drawers and payouts.

· Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to make decisions and stick to your decisions in regard to intoxicated, unruly, or inappropriate guests.

The duties performed by this individual will take place in a setting which will contain sinks, toilet’s, showers, baths, small refrigerators and electronic equipment. The area may be hot or cold, humid and may have slippery surfaces.

The noise level of work environment will be moderate to high.

The employees will be required to stand for most of their shift, move rapidly from one area to be cleaned to another, carry heavy cleaning equipment with them, place their hands in wash water and operate
